About Mixed & United 

We are an Improvisation theatre group from Antwerp. Originally founded as a regular theatre group in the year 2013, we quickly found our place in the realm of improvisation. We do weekly trainings on Tuesday and perform shows every few months. As an English-speaking group in a Dutch-speaking city, we tend to have many international flavors in our group. We have expats and PhD students from abroad, but also locals who are happy to join the international bunch that is Mixed but also very much United.

The power of improvisation and community 

Within the walls of the Peperfabriek, we bring our shared philosophy and social connection into practice. Improvisation theatre is the ultimate way to create space for spontaneity, humor, and genuine human connection from the ground up, without a strict script. During our weekly sessions, we co-create scenes and stories from scratch, learning to trust our instincts and support one another.

You do not need any prior theatre or improv experience to join us. Everyone is welcome to hop in, break through boundaries, and experiment together. After the training, we gather for a casual drink and chat in the open, welcoming atmosphere of the Peperfabriek bar.

Over Mixed & United 

Mixed & United is een improvisatietheatergroep uit Antwerpen. Oorspronkelijk opgericht als een reguliere theatergroep in 2013, vonden we al snel onze vaste plek binnen de wereld van de improvisatie. Als een Engelstalige groep in een Nederlandstalige stad, brengen we heel wat internationale smaken samen. Onze groep bestaat uit expats en doctoraatstudenten van over de hele wereld, maar evengoed uit locals die met plezier aansluiten bij deze internationale bende die erg Mixed is, maar tegelijkertijd ook heel erg United.

De kracht van improvisatie en community 

Binnen de muren van de Peperfabriek trekken we de deelfilosofie en de maatschappelijke verbinding door naar de praktijk. Improvisatietheater is de ultieme manier om van onderop, zonder strak script, ruimte te maken voor spontaniteit, humor en échte menselijke connectie. Tijdens onze wekelijkse trainingen bouwen we samen scènes en verhalen op vanuit het niets, waarbij we leren te vertrouwen op onze reflexen en elkaar.

Je hebt absoluut geen theater- of improvisatie-ervaring nodig om mee te doen. Iedereen is welkom om aan te sluiten, barrières te doorbreken en samen te experimenteren. Na de training praten we in een open en solidaire sfeer gezellig na met een drankje aan de bar van de Peperfabriek.
